About the position
We are expanding our underwriting team and are looking for a US Mortgage Loan Underwriter to join our growing team. You will assist our underwriting team with loan application reviews, analyze risk, and approve or reject loan applications. Full-time hybrid or remote position in Israel.
Location
Full-time position from the Israel office with option for hybrid or remote work from Israel.
Responsibilities
- Authorize and underwrite loans
- Review and verify loan applications and supporting documentation
- Analyze loan risk and request additional information if necessary
- Prepare reports on assessment findings
- Make loan eligibility decisions and approve or reject applications accordingly
- Review and specify loan conditions as necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines
- Document and effectively communicate reasons for the approval/rejection of loans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experienced with credit underwriting and/or banking
- A proactive problem-solver, multi-tasker, and effective performer under pressure
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Good mastery of the Office suite
- Team player
